Corniche API

This option can be used in many ways to drive the accounting within Corniche from another application. For example, a trust company affiliated with a bank could be operating a legacy trust management application and can enquire directly from the application as to trust balances held as bank accounts within Corniche. As another example, a bank might allow a trusted Partner of a bank to be granted controlled Branded Account facilities (where the bank account class is named after the Partner and is used only by the Partner's clients/members and, via a secure mechanism, to carry out certain profiling and accounting actions on the branded accounts, if so authorised by the bank, including but not limited to:

- Creation and amendment of account profile.
- Creation of linked branded accounts.
- Enquiring on linked branded accounts.
- Posting transactions between the account(s) of the branded entity and its branded client accounts.
- Obtaining the balance of a linked branded account.
- Posting inter-currency, inter commodity, and/or currency/commodity transactions.

Corniche Merchant Payments

This option allows a merchant which has an account with a bank operating Corniche to accept payments for goods and services by direct debit from other clients of the bank. Typically, a button with the bank's logo and the words "Pay from" or similar are added to the Merchant's Check-out page. Once clicked on by a customer, the payment is handled by the bank and if successful, the client and merchant are informed. Delivery of the goods and/or services can then immediately take place:

- Merchant must have an account with the bank.
- Merchant must extend its store-front to include the merchant's side of the payment process.
- Corniche will indicate whether a payment was unsuccessful or successful and will route the client
to the appropriate Merchant page.
- Payments can be limited by merchant to specific currencies and/or commodities.
